African Activities for Children
When most people think of African art they think of African masks. But many other items such as drums, sculpture, and fertility idols, also play important parts in African cultural life . Here at genuineafrica.com we've tried to include a variety of African masks from all regions of the continent including Benin, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, Egypt, Ghana,  Sudan, Mauritania, Congo, Gabon, Senegal, Kenya, Morocco, Algeria, Libya, Cameroon, Ethiopia, and the Ivory Coast. Included are pieces from many the great peoples of Africa: Ashanti, Sidamo, Sande, Yoruba, Bambara, Salanpaso, Salampasu, Bobo, Fanti, Baule, Baoule, Punu, Fang, Tikar, Teke and Kudu, to name a few.  Tribal names and African mask names often have numerous different spellings. Please note that while we make every effort to include all known variants, some may have been inadvertently omitted. Please do not hesitate to e-mail with any questions. In addition to Tribal African masks and art, we also offer selected oil paintings by the noted African painter Andrew Bone.

AFRICAN CRAFTS AND HANDICRAFTS.
For the finest unique African artifacts,African crafts, handicrafts, fishing accessories and How to pick the best souvenirs during a trip?

African crafts and handicrafts from West Africa
The african crafts for which we have not yet written a special section are listed on this page dedicated to african handicraft.
Tuareg leather boxes
The tuareg leather boxes are manufactured objects made with leather pasted on a frame of wood. They are part and parcel of traditional Niger, Mali and more generally across the Sahara where Tuareg caravans moved.
African dolls
Our African dolls are created by young handicapped women suffering from polyomelitis in Togo. The sisters had initiated them to this craft several decades ago. Unfortunately, the french customs asked for large amount of money for laboratory tests, and found that this product, also just decorative, could induce risks for children because it is stuffed with natural kapok and some seeds remain in the stuffing. Better buy cancer inducing plastics !! So we have to our great regret suspended marketing for the greatest misfortune of those handicapped ladies center.

Excellent Fish Lures
The development of fishing equipment and related accessories as well as the tremendous expansion in the bass fishing trade has given rise to the introduction of a diverse range of lures exclusively designed for a variety of fish species.

Well, there are several kinds or set of lures and all of them are based on the kind of fish that do well with them. A number of them succeed with only certain kind of fish, but other lures encompass an extensive range of fish species.

Listed here are a few of the standard lures employed in fishing.

Light Regular Casting Lures

In the case of the regular casting lures, a broad array of fish varieties can be attracted by them such as crappies, albacore, bonita, bluefish, and oho. Besides, these lures are very suitable for specific bass fish species and do extremely well when pulled out from the water at about low to moderate speed. These lures can go through water with indiscernibly synthetic material.

The sizes of these lures are just great for lightweight fish as well as a multitude of freshwater fish species. These lures occur in ranges of 1/16 ounces to 3 ounces.

The lure, which has a realistic eye, that is drawn by hand, is sufficiently tempting to draw in a large group of fish. This trait makes it possible to multiply your prospects of ensnaring the very fish you have set your sights on in the waters.

Heavy Regular Casting Lures

The heavy regular casting lures are very good for substantially heavy fish particularly, bass and walleye. Though the lightweight lures can be employed in almost all conditions, it has been proved that the heavy casting lures offer considerably more consistent fishing yield.

What is more, these heavy regular lures are capable of catching more fish when compared with diamond and lightweight regular casting lures that are employed.

Long Casting or Jigging Lures

Possibly, those lures, which are all the rage of all the fishing lures available, are the elongated, pointed jigging lures. Now, these lures are perchance, the most widely preferred fishing lures amongst the anglers in Louisiana, Mississippi, and Florida.

In fact, only lately was it discovered that these elongated casting lures are most suitable for hooking pike and trout. In addition, they also proved fruitful in catching bluefish and stripers. They are capable of catching walleye and tuna in a jiffy!

When compared with the heavy regular lures, this lure is not very effective in generating a good fish yield, perhaps, up to around a hundred and eighty- two hundred feet below water. However, make certain to obtain a good matching lure shade, bait as well as other accessories in order to boost performance.

Lethal Diamond Lures

Now these lures are possibly one of the tiniest, occurring in size ranges of one eighth-one ounce. These diamond lures can effortlessly draw the attention of the fish and easily create a group of fish in no time.

This is because of the structural surface arrangement and the way it is cut. The grip on the top is cut in the form of a diamond and this results in light being reflected when its surface is struck by it. These diamond lures are simply great for catching many varieties of bass fish, stripers and crappie and even though they do well with a minute array of fish species.
